Well it’s party time so I thought I would be fashionably late, not too late so all that is left is the alcohol that no one else wants but just so I wasn’t the first here. I must admit some was due to it still being dark outside and then I forgot I had a site meeting at 9am!
I can’t believe its been a week since last Saturday. this week has really flown by and I suppose it was helped by having Christmas in the middle of it. I hope you all had a great Christmas and got everything on your Christmas list, well that’s presuming you had been good for the past year.
its been nice to have a few days just well pottering around in the garden, well when I say days I suppose its been a odd hour or two here and there, a bit of weeding, tidying up the borders and just relaxing in my little space. yes it its a busmans holiday so to speak but there’s something different working in your own little space, in your own time and doing what you enjoy doing without the stresses of work included.
Any way here’s my little look into my garden here in Chandlers Ford, I hope you enjoy them

Well that’s me done for this week. I hope you enjoyed my six
For more six on Saturday, please see the great man himself The Propagator and see more links of other great people!
Snowdrops!!!!
Lol the start of many I hope 😀😀
First snowdrops !? …. unbelievable. Nothing glimpsed here ..
(PS: I had to subscribe again, I didn’t see your posts since you’re back in WP … now it’s OK)
I must admit I grow mine in pots, I have a lot occurring now 😀 hoping for a few more out for next week 👍
Thank you for refollowing Fred 😀😀😀
Bored of snowdrops pics?! Never ever! The rose and salvia are incredibly sturdy bloomers there for you. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
Thank you and a very happy new year to you too, lol I am the same never get bored of seeing them 😀😀
EVERYONE above mentioned those snowdrops! I remember how it seemed that everyone else wrote about them last year! I did not get it. However, this year. I will have them too. I did not know it, but there are just a few that came up in Felton Covered Bridge Park. They likely washed downriver from a garden miles upstream. I don’t care. I now have something to brag about (when they bloom). They are likely simple seedlings, but I will find out. (I sort of hope they are like the basic species.)
Lol they are a massive thing over here Tony, well not massive but do have a cult following, I have been fascinated by them since a young boy and that carries on even now 😀
I hope you enjoy yours this winter, doesn’t matter if it’s the simple form , they are magical even in that form 😀
I have no intention of collecting them like so many of us do, but will get a few of these bulbs and multiply them like I do. Once I get them, they will likely be with me forever. So many of my plants are like that. I got most before I graduated high school, and they just stay with me.
my Amistad is also flowering, although in the greenhouse. i’m really looking forward to planting them out in the garden next year. i still don’t see what all the fuss is with the snowdrops, but i did plant some bulbs in the autumn. no sign of them yet…
It’s a cracking form fella I really do like it within the garden, just gives me the narrow hieght I need, 😀 lol we all like different things, it’s the delicate form and the simple colours of green and white with a few yellows with fine little differences all showing at a time nothing else much is happening are just some of the things I love about them
