Rosa Cardinal de Richelieu is one of the most beautiful of all Gallica roses. its unique colour coupled with near prickleless green stems makes this a well worth addition to any garden. like other gallica roses, it is only once flowering, during June and July, but that for me makes it even more special as the wait is even more worthwhile.
Gallicas are well known for there scent and although Cardinal de Richelieu isn’t the strongest out of the family, it is still beautifully scented.
Rosa ‘Cardinal de Richelieu will be happy in growing in most soils, ideally one that has free draining but it will take some pretty poor sandy soils as well.
it does suffer a little with black spot and mildew during the summer months and so can be worth spraying
Each rose comes with its own aluminium plant label, a factsheet about the rose and how to look after it and enough mycorrhizal for planting the rose, ensuring that your plant gets off to the best possible start
