Another week has flown by, with it, it seems so has the summer. More and more plants are slowly putting their autumn clothing on and getting ready for the winter. It’s been a odd week weather wise, a bit rain, heavy at times but also so mild and humid. The plants and gardens are still producing some beautiful moments
Well I hope you enjoy my 6 on Saturday this week, all the plants are from my garden again this week
I hope you enjoyed my 6 on Saturday from my garden. If you did please checkout other people’s 6 on the memes founder website https://thepropagatorblog.wordpress.com/ I love seeing other people’s plants and what’s happening in their gardens. Why not give it ago yourself next week and give me a shout so I can take a look
Edgeworthia is such a wonderful shrub. I planted one beside our front door, where it is watered by run off from the driveway, and it has become one of the most impressive shrubs in the garden. The only problem is that in the last couple of years, birds have started picking at the buds during the winter. Very frustrating to find piles of white confetti under the branches.
It is isn’t, one of my favourite winter shrubs it’s started to become more popular here in the uk, I think mainly due to the winter gardens becoming more popular.thats such a shame ☹️ I would be very frustrated as well
Falstaff is terrific. I grow it as a climber over an arch. It has the most fantastic perfume and will flower a couple of times a year when established. Great choice!

I have a Pyracantha that produces orange berries. I also have an abundance of blackbirds. So I have no Pyracantha berries. Oh well….
But it’s nice having so many blackbirds, mine last for ages as we don’t have too many around here
