Sometimes you just get one of those weeks when you are glad it’s the weekend, it was one of those weeks this week! Well to be fair, it was only one day, rest of the week was very enjoyable. Plants and gardens are so much areas for us to enjoy and relax in, to get away from the stressful things in life. Hopefully a spell weeding (yes yes I do have weeds in my garden) and cutting back the odd plant, will recharge the old batteries ready for another wonderful varied job that is my work.
Well this week, my six on Saturday comes from my own garden, that I will be honest and say it’s looking a little shabby at the moment, some plants still flowering well, just needs a good tidy up and sort out. Hoping to start on the kids playhouse next weekend but we will see what happens. So anyway I hope you enjoy them
I hope you enjoyed my 6 on Saturday from my garden. If you did please checkout other people’s 6 on the memes founder website https://thepropagatorblog.wordpress.com/ I love seeing other people’s plants and what’s happening in their gardens. Why not give it ago yourself next week and give me a shout so I can take a look
Until next week, have fun in the garden
Aren’t Gauras wonderful? Mine is still going strong, too. I like that ‘Rosy Jane’. Must look out for one. And that bulb box is a familiar sight. There are two of them sitting on the table beside me. It’s a good reminder to have them close by, but it isn’t getting them planted. 🙂
Phew. A nice six of which I’ve already got five. Must chase the bulb order to complete the set. Gaura will probably leave the garden this year. I can never over-winter them and have decided not to keep on trying.
Yes I suppose the colder and wetter weather in Wales makes it pretty difficult to over winter them 🙁 so lovely though aren’t they, any news on the bulb order?
Geraniums and asters . . . I do not see enough of them. I know we can grow geraniums, but I have not seen them in a long time. Gaura grows TOO well. It can get away and into places where it should not go. I suppose that is a good thing in gardens that do not get much added to them.
Gaura is borderline tender with us so is not as friendly although that said she does apppear in some odd places it was certainly not planted! Yes must be some geraniums that will survive with you? Maybe maderense?
Geraniums survive here, they are just unpopular. Trends do not make much sense.
That’s a shame about the unpopular bit but yes they make no sense at all do they
Loved the promise of the box of bulbs, it’s SO exciting!
Lol it is indeed started to put some out yesterday too 😀
Catching up on my comments, it’s been a busy weekend. Lovely Six. My gaura is still going strong, flowering away. Didn’t realise it was a bit on the tender side. I shall give it a good mulch when it’s finished. I do have a we cuttings as insurance (i know! steps back in amazement!)
Lol I wouldn’t expect anything else fella 😀 it’s worth it, it’s the damp and wet that does the damage sadly. I would just cut it back halfway and pray 😀👍
